The Jews of Hita: Names, Families, and Documentary Traces of a Sephardic Community
This documentary research explores the Jewish community of Hita through historical records from the late Middle Ages.
Based on archival sources, it brings together names, families, occupations, property records, debts, and other documentary traces that help reconstruct the lives of the Jewish inhabitants of Hita before and around the expulsion of 1492.
The study is part of the Huellas de Sefarad project, dedicated to recovering the names and stories preserved in historical documents relating to the Jewish communities of medieval Spain.
